【摘要】:WARNING—PersonsusingthisInternationalStandardshouldbefamiliarwithnormallaboratorypractice.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheusertoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtoensurecompliancewithanynationalregulatoryconditions.IMPORTANT—ItisabsolutelyessentialthattestsconductedaccordingtothisInternationalStandardbecarriedoutbysuitablytrainedstaff.SAFETYPRECAUTIONS—Activatedsludgeandsewagecontainpotentiallypathogenicorganisms.Thereforetakeappropriateprecautionswhenhandlingthem.Handletoxictestcompoundsandthosewhosepropertiesareunknownwithcare.ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodfortheevaluationofthe“ready”and“ultimate”biodegradabilityoforganiccompoundsatagivenrangeofconcentrationsbyaerobicmicroorganisms.Inthiscontext,thisInternationalStandardalsogivesspecificdefinitionsfortheterms“ready”and“ultimate”.Themethodappliestoorganiccompoundswhichare:a)solubleattheconcentrationusedundertheconditionsofthetest[dissolvedorganiccarbon(DOC)concentrationsof10mg/lto40mg/l];b)non-volatileorhavinganegligiblevapourpressureundertheconditionsofthetest;c)notsignificantlyadsorbableonglassandactivatedsludge;d)notinhibitorytothetestmicroorganismsattheconcentrationchosenforthetest.Themethodisnotsuitableforwastewaters,astheyusuallycontainsignificantamountsofwater-insolubleorganiccarbon,whichisnotincludedinDOCmeasurements.
