【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedtomeasurethereactivityofdifferentlotsofunsaturatedpolyesterandvinylesterresins.Theinformationprovidedbythistestcanbeusedforassessingthepredictedperformanceofaresinwhenusedinelevatedtemperatureaspartoftheprocessusedtoconverttheresinintoafinishedproduct.Themethodisusedinresearchanddevelopmentbycompaniesthatmanufactureresinsandforincomingqualitycontrolcompaniesusingthesepolymersasrawmaterialsforproduction.ThemethodisbasedonthemethodswhichwerepreviouslyoutlinedintheHandbookofReinforcedPlastics,x201C;ProcedureforRunningExothermCurvesUsingtheBlockTestMethodx201D;publishedbytheSocietyofthePlasticsIndustry.1.1Thisstandardprovidesastandardizedtestmethodfordeterminingthegelationandexothermcurveofunsaturatedpolyesterandvinylesterresins.Thismethodprovidesguidanceformeasurementofthex201C;Standard180x00B0;F(82.2x00B0;C)ExothermCurvex201D;alongwithinformationonvariancesofthemeasurementwhichmayberequiredforspecialresins.Thistestmethodprovidesinformationconcerningthereactivityofunsaturatedpolyesterandvinylesterresinsastheygothroughpolymerizationaftermixingwiththeinitiator.Note18212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard,althoughISO584issimilar.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
